It's (BIS) been on and off in northeast FL most of the day. Doesn't seem to be limited to them though. Comcast mail servers have been slower than molasses in January most of the day, too.

The last email I received on my Verizon Storm was 12:45pm EDT and I have been sent several emails since then and it's now 5:20pm EDT. I have also been unable to access "Email Settings" for the last hour or so.

Word is that only BIS is down and not BES. Please, when you report if your down or not, post if you are using BIS or BES. Personally for me, BES is working fine in NJ. (AT&T)

BIS w/Verizon down in Nashville, Tennessee area. Can't add an count in BIS either. Perhaps it is related to the BIS 2.6 upgrade (see my update at the bottom of this post: http://www.wrightpcconsulting.com/blog/2009/04/... )?

"Update: Looks like BIS 2.6 is not yet ready for prime time. I recently discovered that sending from two of my accounts using a desktop client (Thunderbird) caused my entire Sent box to be pushed to the my BlackBerry. Firt time is was 58 messages, the second was over 183. That is not acceptable!"

Everything appears to be normal again, different reports have said this was a planned outage. We normally get alerts to those that we'll send out to the list if we're aware of these so I'm wondering exactly what's going on.

If anyone was having problems getting to dataoutages.com earlier, we apologize as we were having problems with the news site and we'll be working tomorrow to move it over to another much faster server that can handle the additional loads. Everything back running smooth as silk after we redirected the news site here for the time being.
