I've missed something here ... I thought the new Bold would be Flash (and YouTube) compatible ... came someone confirm both ?

Youtube (via m.youtube.com) is working on any BlackBerry since device software version 4.5. "Flash" support is still missing though.

The battery life is the only problem at the moment, I hope the "Bedside" mode increases the battery life during the night time...It is youtube compatible, with the media player loading the videos rather than the browser.

Not sure if I am lucky or not, but my contract does not expire until November which might give me time to look at the Thunder.

In principal I dont like touch keyboard, I have tried the iPhone and yes it is a great product, but ask anyone if they write long emails and they say no - why would you want to - ask the same thing to a BB owner and they say, of course I do - when I need to.

What will they say about the thunder - I hope to find out before I am tied into an 18 month contract.

I have the curve and love it - with 4.5OS it is good and has almost everything I need, I have HTML emails and a better browser - just missing the wifi. My question is will the browser/emails be better on the bold or just a bit quicker due to the hardware.

In november I'll probably get the bold, but RIM don't make crappy keyboards so I am really excited to see what they do with a touch screen!

Anyone seen the thunder in the flesh yet?

Does anyone know if the media player on the Bold is different from the one in os 4.2 on the curve? also if anyone has is any idea when this puppy will launch on ATT- please enlighten us.

I just Talked to a AT&T service rep at one of the stores and they said the Bold is supposed to be out Mid September and late October for all other subscribers

I recently purchased the bold. It's everything this review says and more. It's an amazing phone, I would recomend it over any other phone any day if you can afford it.

The blacberry bold is a brillian phone.. youtube does work I haven't had any problems, just been impressed by the many features and the speed of the device!
Deffinatly would recommend.

My Bold will not play any you tube / flash stuff atall. It trys to open in the media player and then fails.

I know a lot of peopel have had this prob.

Is there no flash software atall that will work?

I am in uk on orange network (in case that helps anyone with an answer)

So far I love my bold..but I can't streaming any video
(I tried m.youtube, but it didn't work)
Everytime I try to watch video it direct me to a blank media
I can do nothing with it..
